Show your Appreciation on Be An Angel Day which is on 8/22/2016

Some of the key factors in our lives are the people we surround ourselves with. But it’s not everyday that we take the time to appreciate them and show them the love that they deserve. August 22nd, is Be An Angel Day, where people can show others just how much they care about them! In 1993, Jayne Howard Feldman decided to create a national day to encourage people to help those in need with random acts of kindness. Throughout your day, try to perform random acts of kindness for people around you, whether it’s volunteering in your community, helping your family around the house, or even setting up a Lure for strangers at the nearest PokeStop in the mobile app, Pokemon GO.

Films offer a lot of perspectives on types of angels, from spiritual or symbolic to real life physical representations. In the classic film, It’s a Wonderful Life (1946), starring actor James Stewart and actress Donna Reed, tells a story of a guardian angel who shows a man the world if he had never existed. The story focuses on the meaningful and helpful things people do to affect the people around them. Another relatable film, Inspired by Angels (2014), shows real life experiences of people who have made contact or believe they have been affected by Angels in their lifetime. This film includes interviews with spiritual leaders, professors, and other Angel enthusiasts. The meaning of an Angel is different between individuals, and people can express them through various types of art. You don’t have to be an Angel from the heavens to show people that you care, so take some time today to show people just how much they mean to you.

Happy International Aura Awareness Day!

November 22nd is International Aura Awareness Day, a day to help create awareness of the vital role auras have in our lives. Auras exist as an energy field around living things, and there are different types of auras depending on your emotional, or physical state. Many people are still skeptical about auras, which maybe why this holiday was first celebrated in 2002. Aura’s have been a part religions for hundreds of years. In Christianity, auras have been depicted in paintings as a gold halo around an individual's head, like in portraits of Jesus, above. There are many examples of the “holy halo” in the Bible; mostly it is referred to as a light. "The Lord is the source of my light and my safety, so whom shall I fear?" Psalm 26:1 In India, scholars of the Buddhist and Hindu religions think that there’s a link between Auras and Chakras and Kundalini energy. These are specific point on the body that energy flows through and to. There are seven Chakra points on the human body from the The Crown Centre, which is above the head to the Muladhara or Base Centre, at the base of the spine.

Aura’s come in many different colors that mean different things. For example, dark auras are an indication of physical, emotional or psychological problems and trauma. British occultist W.E Butler found that clairvoyant individuals can see and accurately diagnose a person's state of mind, and well being, by the color of their auras. Each color has a positive and negative aspect, for example a red positive aura indicates good health or good circulations, while a negative red aura means anger, anxiety, and/or fear. A positive blue aura means the individual is at peace, and spiritually open, and a negative blue aura is a fear of telling the truth. An orange positive aura signifies a perfectionist, while a negative one means you have a lack of ambition. Getting an accurate reading takes a trained seer and an openness to the spiritual energies. If you are interested about this subject you should watch the documentary Inspired by Angels, which goes into more detail on the angels and auras, distributed by World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation.

Be an Angel Day and Inspired by Angels

Happy Be an Angel Day! There are many ways to celebrate this holiday from being an angel to others to watching a great film about them. This holiday was established by Jayne Howard Feldman in 1993, to promote random acts of kindness. It’s a day to put others ahead of yourself and to make the world a better place through acts of kindness. So many of us struggling through economic, emotional or physical hardships that they have no control over, and a helping hand or word can make all the difference. You don’t need to be Mother Teresa to be an angel for someone else. You can mow a neighbor's lawn, give flowers to a stranger, or even adopt a pet.  Even small tasks such as saying hello, picking up litter or planting a tree are a great way to celebrate. Just because you don’t have white wings, doesn’t mean you can’t do a world of good.

There are many films dealing with Angels, from the real to the imaginary kind. Most agree that angels can be any gender and hide their identity well. In the film, Michael, actor John Travolta plays an angels who is living on earth with an elderly woman. This is not your typical angelic angel, but one who smokes and drinks. This films shows that all angels aren’t the same, but how they still do good. Another famous film about angels is Angels in the Outfield, where actor and comedy writer Christopher Lloyd plays the boss angel Al. This is such a heartwarming film about how praying for angels actually works. While some may think that real angels only exists in our films, here is a documentary about Angels that will change your mind. Inspired by Angels, take a real look at angels, from who they are, to what they do, and how we can find them. It features interviews with spiritual healers, authors, lecturers, and other angel experts.  Another great film is What Dreams May Come, with actor Robin Williams playing a man who has passed away in a car crash. This film focuses on what happens after death and finding your loved ones in heaven. All these films have the same basic message, treat others well because you don’t know who’s an angel in disguise.  So today act like an angel, whether you think they are real or fake.
