Greetings Earthlings! July 20th is Space Exploration Day

Have you ever wanted to witness an alien encounter? Or maybe see an asteroid explode into another comet? Today we wonder about the vast complexities of outerspace, and continue to search for various other life forms similar to our own. Space Exploration Day is the day we decide to build our own rocketship and see the stars for ourselves. Millions of different photographs NASA releases for us to gaze at will never recreate the sensation of floating aimlessly in a space shuttle with no gravity to hold anything back.

It seems that the more information our civilization finds out about space, the less we seemingly know about. Will we ever find out how green are the alien life form’s skin compared to what we had first thought, if they even have skin at all? Will we ever find the beginning, middle, or the end of the universe? Is our physical existence expanding, or contracting? So many questions are left to be answered, which makes space exploration more exciting than ever.

Robbie Kay’s character in the film “Ways to Live Forever” had a fascination with traveling to outer space. Everyone has thought about it at least once in their lives. This could be the day you actually sneak onto a NASA space shuttle and explore the next frontier for yourself!

National Tattoo Day

July 17th is a day that more people in America have been celebrating in recent years: National Tattoo Day! If you have ever contemplated marking yourself, today would be the opportune time. Tattoos can have deep philosophical meaning to those who decide to brand themselves, and tattoos can also be horrible reminders of a youthful decision.  Whether you have both of your sleeves covered, or a tiny Hello Kitty creeping up your ankle, you can never have too many or too little of tattoos.

Tattoos are considered more socially acceptable in America than ever before. It is no longer a dealer closer once your employer finds out about that sail boat tattoo on your chest or bicep. The placement of tattoos have seemed to crawl up on to people’s faces more than ever as well, which is totally a great thing for social acceptance and tolerance activists. Whether it is right or wrong to have a symbol embedded onto yourself, body art continues to be one of the most polarizing discussions we have in society. It is such a subjective topic that even our world’s religious practices have different opinions on how tattoos should be used and treated.

Be sure to catch the television series “Skin Deep”, which is currently being distributed by World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation. The series gives the audience an inside view on the life of these talented individuals who pursue body art as a profession and a lifestyle. Even if you don’t have a tattoo, they can still be very interesting to look at if you give them a chance.

Global Forgiveness Day 2015

Here in the United States, the month of July is most known as the month of independence and freedom with 4th of July. Fireworks, American flags, and beer flood the streets leading up to the day. But there is another day that is under the radar that all Americans and people of the world should know which is Global Forgiveness Day. Global Forgiveness Day was founded by the Christian Embassy of Christ's Ambassadors (CECA) and was designed to forgive all conflicts in the world, in specific countries all the way down to the individual home and person. CECA has spearheaded this event ever since it was founded back in the late 90’s and in recent years has gained traction all over the world. Global Forgiveness Day takes place July 7th, 2015 and CECA’s biggest upcoming project is enacting it here in the United States.

It’s been 12 years since the release of the critically acclaimed film Red Roses and Petrol hit theaters back in 2003. June 27th is the anniversary of the film that told the story of a dysfunctional Irish family coming together after the death of their patriarch (played by Malcolm McDowell). Once together, some of the family members put parts of the past behind them, which ties in perfectly with Global Forgiveness Day.  Although the story has some dark tones and metaphors, love and life are two crucial themes that are played throughout the film.

Too sum it all up, Forgive and Forget! Global Forgiveness Day is something the entire world should stop and think about and really take time to appreciate. With all the violence going on around the world and here at home, this day is something that is very much needed to stop, reflect, and be thankful for the amazing life we all have.
