After making this inspirational, cancer-themed picture, young star Robbie Kay (Sam) and his father, Ivan Kay, became personally involved with fundraising for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS; one of the many charities that officially supported the movie) and its ongoing fight against blood cancers. On Monday, June 2, Ivan will participate in LLS Team In Training ride, which goes 109 miles around Lake Tahoe, CA. His aim is to raise over $4,500 for the cause.
