Global Forgiveness Day 2015

Here in the United States, the month of July is most known as the month of independence and freedom with 4th of July. Fireworks, American flags, and beer flood the streets leading up to the day. But there is another day that is under the radar that all Americans and people of the world should know which is Global Forgiveness Day. Global Forgiveness Day was founded by the Christian Embassy of Christ's Ambassadors (CECA) and was designed to forgive all conflicts in the world, in specific countries all the way down to the individual home and person. CECA has spearheaded this event ever since it was founded back in the late 90’s and in recent years has gained traction all over the world. Global Forgiveness Day takes place July 7th, 2015 and CECA’s biggest upcoming project is enacting it here in the United States.

It’s been 12 years since the release of the critically acclaimed film Red Roses and Petrol hit theaters back in 2003. June 27th is the anniversary of the film that told the story of a dysfunctional Irish family coming together after the death of their patriarch (played by Malcolm McDowell). Once together, some of the family members put parts of the past behind them, which ties in perfectly with Global Forgiveness Day.  Although the story has some dark tones and metaphors, love and life are two crucial themes that are played throughout the film.

Too sum it all up, Forgive and Forget! Global Forgiveness Day is something the entire world should stop and think about and really take time to appreciate. With all the violence going on around the world and here at home, this day is something that is very much needed to stop, reflect, and be thankful for the amazing life we all have.

Watching a Father’s Day movie would be a great way to spend time with your father figure. The movie Ways to Live Forever tells the story of a young boy named Sam (played by actor Robbie Kay) who is struggling with leukemia. The film, directed by Gustavo Ron, is a lovely portrait about living life to the fullest. The film centers on the boy and his family, and the evolution of his father’s (Ben Chaplin) acceptance of his son’s illness. In the film we see the relationship between Sam and his father grow from stiff and formal to warm and loving after the two bond in many ways, including flying in a blimp together to fulfill one of Sam’s wishes. Make Music Day is on June 21st – How do You Make Your Music?

Make Music Day is a day in which we celebrate those who explore the art form medium takes place inside our ears, minds, as well as our hearts. Make Music Day is a day celebrated by those who take the time out of their busy lives to create sonic compositions which the world may soon never forget. These same types of creative people also master musical instruments and construct the unforgettable rhythms and generate colorful sound waves in their respective band and/or orchestra, or more often these days on their own desktop computer.

Whether you are a virtuoso blessed with the innate skill of shredding, or just a regular sound lover who enjoys to tickle the ivories once in a while, we all get the same type of joy from creating sounds to share with those we love, and sometimes even with those we annoy. Making music can be as easy as slapping two blocks of wood together, and can be as complicated and intricate as rocket science. The diverse spectrum of consumers and participants makes music such a unique entity of our daily lives. Music constantly changes and evolves through time, and never can seem to keep one shape forever.

It is even more amazing when people create music through the depths of life’s adversities. A talented deaf girl who travels with her musically inclined family is able to sing gracefully as well as beautifully in the film, Amy, which is currently being distributed by the World Wide Motion Pictures Corporation. Movies such as Amy prove that anyone who is inspired enough can create music or create a message through any medium of art their mind can conceive
