Cancer Prevention Month: Thoughts from Film’s North American Distributor

Cancer Prevention Month may be coming to a close, but that doesn’t mean that we should lose sight of the threat that the diseases poses to us all. Cancer is now the leading cause of mortality in the world, affecting an increasing number of people yearly - both those who become ill as well as their loved ones. And yet, a recent study shows that approximately 1-in-3 cases can be prevented. A balanced diet, exercise, and early detection can save lives.

However, "the most important thing a person can do if they get cancer is keep living, and that is the inspirational message of WAYS TO LIVE FOREVER," says Paul Hancock, President of World Wide Motion Pictures, the film’s distributor. A moving tale of a 12-year-old boy (Robbie Kay, "Once Upon A Time") diagnosed with leukemia who wants to learn everything he can about life… and death, and pass that wisdom onto others, Ways represents for many both the excitement of life and a touching approach to the sadness of its end.

"WAYS TO LIVE FOREVER is a fantastic film in its own right," continues Hancock, ‘but we’re also immensely proud to be involved with a project of such social importance.’ The film has won numerous awards and has been screened in select theaters to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. It is coming soon to DVD.
