Boston Screening
World Wide is pleased to announce that in partnership with its supporters at the Chlotrudis Society For Independent Film, Applause was screened in Boston at the Brattle Theatre. “It went very well, with a great, responsive audience,” Chlotrudis president Michael Colford reveals. "We had a great discussion after the film with everyone giving it a thumbs up, especially Paprika’s performance." The screening, one of several that Chlotrudis has planned in different locations, including Denver, was targeted specifically at fans of independent and foreign films. “The audience was split about 50/50 between Chlotrudis members and members of the Cine-Cache [bi-weekly film/discussion] series,” Colford says. “Everyone could see why Paprika [Steen] was being [submitted] for an Academy Award, and several people mentioned that even if she didn’t get it, this would really raise her profile in America.” World Wide would like to offer a big round of its own applause to the Chlotrudis Society for its continued support of this film.
