Zandvliet Does it Again!

252900.1

Last year, director Martin Pieter Zandvliet made a splash at the European Union Film Festival in Chicago with a screening of APPLAUSE. Now, he’s doing it again!  His new film, A FUNNY MAN, has been chosen to open the 15th annual event at the prestigious Gene Siskel Film Center. In it, Danish film stars Nikolaj Lie Kaas and Lars Ranthe play Dirch Passer and Kjeld Petersen, respectively: two well known comedic performers of the 1950s and 60s whose friendship was undone by fame. The picture will screen on Friday, March 2, at 6  p.m. and again on Sunday, March 4, at 5 p.m.  For additional information about A FUNNY MAN visit http://www.afunnymanthemovie.com/ and for this year’s festival, visitwww.siskelfilmcenter.org/eufilmfest2012.
