Ways to Live Forever with World Health Day, April 7

Ways to Live Forever

Take some on this World Health Day to further educate yourself on healthy diets. That Sugar Movie, directed by Damon Gameau, or Super Size Me with Morgan Spurlock are two eye-opening documentaries that show how unhealthy diets can affect your life. Income level affects what types of foods are around you and what you can afford. In the documentary Welcome to Eden you see the struggle of the poorest among us trying to live a healthier lifestyle but are being forced out by greedy individuals.  After watching these two movies you will think twice about what you consume. Cheers to living a healthier lifestyle!

“The question has gnawed at humanity for centuries, how not to die.”  This quote, from the film Ways To Live Forever is thought provoking, but unfortunately there isn’t a blueprint to actually Live Forever. However, there are plenty of ways to increase your quality of life and health. On this World Health Day take time to implement some simple healthy habits.

Drinking water right after waking up before eating anything can be beneficial to your health. This habit will increase your metabolism, rehydrate your body and flush out toxins. Your body is 72% water and is dehydrated when you wake up. Drinking a big glass of water when you wake up will get your body and mind ready to take on the day.

Along with water, having healthy eating habits is important. For most people this has ingrained in our brains since we were children but sometimes it is just to hard to resist a hamburger or the sweet chocolate Easter bunny. Perhaps if we really understood how our body uses different types of food we will be more likely to eat healthier.
